License agreement inked with NTT Docomo for
VIVID UI Effect Framework

April 14, 2009 (Tokyo, Japan)—Acrodea, Inc. (CEO and President: Junya Tsutsumi), headquartered in Meguro-ku, Tokyo, and NTT DoCoMo, Inc. (President and CEO: Ryuji Yamada), headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, entered into a license agreement for VIVID UI Effect Framework on March 31.

VIVID UI Effect Framework is offered as a framework of optional features to VIVID UI®, such as high-speed rendering that leverages hardware capability on a mobile terminal and screen transition effects that use 2D and 3D graphics functionality. The achievement of complicated screen effects up until now has required script coding by UI designers. VIVID UI Effect Framework, however, provides a standard selection of various types of screen transition effects. Their selection and combination results in embedding of superior screen transition effects to UI.

Since signing a master license in August 2007 with NTT DoCoMo, Acrodea has experienced growing usage of VIVID UI among many content providers through compatibility with Kisekae Tool®, as well as with Direct Menu and the latest services i-Concier® and i-Widget®.
